Just started using a Dell Inspiron 510m notebook and am having problems with the screen display looking pixelated when viewing websites. Pics on DPC look crap. I've set the screen resolution to max (1400 x 1050) and colour quality to 32 bit, but it makes no difference. Had the same problem with a previous Dell notebook which if I remember right resolved after a Windows update. I've updated Windows on the new machine, but to no avail. HELP PLEASE!

Are you sure you weren't just looking at my photos? Could explain the crappy appearence! ;-)
I've not had much good to say about Dell laptops, but you might want to check out the Dell site for the most recent driver for your notebook.
Good luck
(Next time, get a Mac notebook, you'll never go back!) |

Thanks David. Just found the solution myself. There's a little thing in the advanced display settings I've never noticed before that allows 2 variations in the DPI of the display. It was set to 120 DPI instead of the 'normal' 96. Makes all the difference! :)
