| OK, so I'm giving the WalMart print thing a chance. Sent the photo online and it says my 1-Hr in-store pickup order will be ready in 14 hours. Am I missing something? Would it really only take an hour if I went there in person? I'd print the picture here myself, but I want 12 copies and am almost out of black ink. :-) |

Sounds like a trade descriptions issue here. Surely it should be called a 14 hour pickup?

| Whether they can meet the 1-hr turnaround or not usually depends on the number of orders they have. Sometimes it's next day, even if you go in person. |

I've done it a few times and it was ready within the hour. Upload, order, drive to Walmart, go home with prints.

It's not far from here - I may ride up there after I've watered the lawn a bit to see if they have them. Will take my little copyright release notice with me to be on the safe side. :)

Probably has something to do with the fact that it's after 7 PM (your time), and their photo lab is probably closed for the day. The time you were quoted is most likely one hour after the lab opens in the morning.

Ah. Yes, that could be true. I don't get home in time to get pictures turned in with an hour to spare before the lab closes.
