This is why it would be great to see two sets of stats; lifetime, and current year-to-date. People who have entered a LOT of challenges can't easily move their average much at all, but we have many members whose current averages, say over the last 20-30 challenges, are quite a bit higher than their lifetime average...
We did this at our 35,000+ member game site, and when we added quarterly stats to lifetime stats we sparked a whole new wave of interest in competing in the games.
Although of course one DOES admire those who have been high on the list forever, and those who have clawed their way up :-) Like our friend Falc, to whom the heartiest congratulations!

Congratulations, Falc! Great job.
After 5 entries I've an average of 6.2046. I hope it'll stay 6+, but I think that'll be hard when I submit in more challenges.

If you just stay away from the dreaded DNMC votes you'll be ok. I think I'm finally getting a handle of that myself (knock on wood.) |
