Two similar pictures. I have my ideas, I would like to hear from the voters.

Okay, I would be interested in the juxtaposition in these two juxtapositions. What is the difference, should I have used my umbrella or blurr the superman baloon.

My idea was that this desolate room is a "job for superman". Either to catch evel-doers or to demolish this place.

mine was "42nd place with an average vote of 5.784" and a big "Contrast" between voters with/without cameras. 5.746 and 8.000
(and, yes, I went to this location with a long time DPC member, chief "white-feather", whose shot came in 7th place.)

I gave you a 5. The Superman punch doll did not appear to be "in" the room. I liked the contrast between the room and the subject. I might have tried to place the subject more in the room to give it a better context or engagement with the environment.

I like selective desaturation at times, but it appears to have been uneccessary here. Maybe if you hadn't gone all the way with the B&W and only muted the colors of the room.

The entry that came in 3rd I gave a 6. I would have voted it higher had the window not been so overexposed. For me it fought for attention with the umbrella.

The "Votes without camera" was proabably one person. I would put too much stcok in that.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the last comment. There must be some more unbashful people out there, unafraid to voice their opinion.

Juxtaposition, in the dictionary means, showing the similarities or contrasts of two objects next to each other.

Anyway, The one main difference that I see is the 3rd place one has warm earth tones. Most people seem prefer warmth over cold, in climates and pictures.

Maybe people don't like the "stolen" art already made famous elsewhere, such as the "Superman" character. The umbrella is more generic and natural.
