...that anyone that wants to wear a thong has to get approval from their peers first, before walking around in public.

A little piece of cloth that only those lucky few can actually wear, and for the rest of the Earths population just to look on with jealousy in a cheap magazine.

This I truly belive.

What about you?

If you are looking for my approval, I'd say NO! I sure as hell don't want to see you in a thong! :-)

Hmmm... Since you brought it up...I believe there should be a similar rule for spandex as well...

LOL! Personally, I've never worn a thong. They look dang uncompfortable to me. But some people swear by them. I was trying to find a friends blog about "To Thong or not to Thong", wherein she talks about a middle aged mom showing her inside out thong, but I can't find it :( It was quite funny. I guess if you have the body to pull it off, go for it, otherwise, cover it up!!

I believe each to his/her own. I wear thongs and whilst they were uncomfortable the first time I wore them nearly 20 years ago, they have become a normal part of my life to the point anything else is uncomfortable. LOL!!

I remember one night sitting in a late night cafe having a snack and there were many others in the cafe. In walks this young woman wearing only a thong....nothing else. She ordered her food, waited and when she received her food casually walked out and drove off.

Well I don't know if it was a dare but she certainly got the looks and I am sure that the young male staff enjoyed watching the security videos later on...lol!! I am no prude as you all know....heck, I hate clothes, lol...and I love the human form and will be doing more photographic studies on it in the near future....but....I do not believe that is is necessary for someone to subject others to their own way of life without their permission. To have done this in front of me is okay as it doesn't shock me...but to see the other people that are not comfortable with it...well that was just wrong.

Does that make sense.

I wear flip flops all the time..... :)

no, but yeah, thongs were uncomfortable at first, but then you get used to it, I used to swear I didn't have panty lines through my clothes, but yes, yes I did, I'm glad I wear thongs now

btw, I don't care what people do as long as it doesn't hurt somebody or something, and your sight doesn't count, if a person gets offended often, they need to re-evaluate thier own life, what's the point of living if you are too uptight to enjoy it?

NOTE: this message was brought to you by.... oh wait, no, I just wanted to say that I wasn't directing this at anyone, please don't turn this into a rant thread as I am good at provoking

As far as I'm concerned you wear thongs on your feet. A G-String is for your backside. Thongs I would wear, a G-String I would not. :P

No.....a g-string is a thin backed version of the thong. Usually as thin as a string on the back part. Whereas a thong is a bit wider...up to an inch in width. Sorry but there is a huge difference.

looks like someone is going to have to post compare/contrast photos of g-string/thong to end the debate.

Someone other than leroy that is.

Alright...here ya go....a g-string and a thong.

The thong isn't a real good image as I tend to wear either g-strings or nothing for photo shoots. Oh well.

G-String

Thong

Unfortunetly, I did not have my camera to prove what I witnessed.

The reason for this thread, and the nightmares I will have.

Imagine if you will......

....It\'s a hot California day. The beachs are crowded for the weekend. Not a cloud in the sky. The only releif from the sun is a partial breeze that whisps by your face, and the occasional dip in the ocean.

The waves from the ocean are waist high. Kids rush in trying to beat the sun, surfers rush in trying to catch the waves.

Lying on a towel, under an ubrella, I was checking out the inside of my eyes, trying to catch up my sleep from the show I was previously on. 60-70 hour work weeks really take there toll, and naps are my weakness when not working.

My children were all doing there own thing. Logan and Bailee, like any teenager were off keeping cool in the water, and probly agravateing each other. Audrey was near by working on her sand castle.

Audrey, woke me, whining about being thirsty. Well, a 4 year old always whines about something, and for her to be thirsty in the beating sun was no surprise.

I pulled myself up from the comfort of my little \'sand bed\', turned twords the cooler where all the drinks were. Reaching for the cooler, regaining my focus from the sleep I was enjoying, I looked up.

I had no choice but to look up. Like a kid seeing the Goodyear blimp for the first time, the visual I got from the point of view reaching for that cooler gave me shock, and dismay.

What was next too me, in my face, bending over and settleing in for the day, a three hundred, no four hundred pound white man in a white tee shirt,.....and a black thong.

Now all would of been ok, but the timing of my daughter, me turning and reaching for the cooler, looking up, and seeing this huge, huge, huge, hairy crack of an ass bending over just made me want to hurl.

I got my daughter a drink, and pulled the cooler to another part of our little area just so I did not have to have to witness any more mega cracks anymore. Nore did I want my kids to see any \'fault lines\' either.

I wish I had my camera.

Just as well that you did'nt have the camera. We will take your word for it on this one.

Having your camera and a wide-angle lens, would have traumatized all of us.

Faced with such a dilemma, one can always opt to (Please forgive the pun)... turn the other cheek.

this is... different.

but since we're on it: thongs are ok but ladies... letting them hang above your pantline is not nice. it's dirty. mostly.
