I wanted to thank everyone for their wonderful comments and votes on my entry in the Success challenge.
'My Success - My Son'
This wasn't my original choice. I had intended on entering this one into the Failure challenge -
'I wished for a puppy not a lizard'
As I wrote in the about of the entry this was part of a shoot that I did where I totally focused on this child. I was intent on capturing Matthew's personality therefore shot completely in black and white with all natural lighting. The father was totally besotted with his fourth son....the emotion was clear for all to see.
also put together a slideshow for the family which they just loved. And have decided to put a small excerpt together for you to enjoy. The original was made with a much better programme but that obviously isn't suitable for the web. So please enjoy....and thankyou again.
Please be warned the slideshow is about 2mb.
Matthews World

Okay..I apologise to whoever tried the slideshow before...for some reason my files went haywire. I just got back home and fixed it. It should be working now.

Thanks Rikki and Todster. The large version is so much better in quality and slidework...but unfortunately the size prevents me from putting up on the web.

That is a very nice slideshow- mind if I pick your brain? :0)
What program did you use? Also did you worry about the song copyrights? I have a wedding coming up that I will be doing one and I made one for a simple party using Pro Show Gold but I love the way you use panning with yours! Awesome work!!! |

Hi Laura
I did check out copyright and such thoroughly and for my clients I tend to use royalty free music. But that particular one had a videographer put together a show using that song and it was presented to the mother at the christening...so to tie it in together I continued the theme as a one off thing.
I normally use ProSho Producer but it is way to big for the web. Windows movie maker is nice but still makes it too big for what I want and with less options IMO. A friend suggested I use Photostory and it works for this purpose...although I am probably too fussy and still see the quality loss big time. LOL!!
