Normally, I'm very lucky to get to work at home whenever I want to, but today I had to go in to the office. It's a long commute with a bunch of very bad drivers (Oregonians should be sent to SoCal to learn how to drive), so it sometimes puts me in a bad mood, as it did today. While at the office, I left a very stupid comment on gaurawa's '1400°C' photo in the Heat challenge. Basically, I said that it was a good enough image, but not very original. It may not have been the worst comment ever, but it was certainly rude and uncalled for. Yes, similar photos have been done before, but he did it exceptionally well and deserves to be rewarded for his effort. Therefore, the apology is for gaurawa. Sorry dude.

The warning? It may not be a good idea to leave comments when you're in a bad mood. :)

No need to apologise Mick, if you remember, I had marked that comment as helpful, so no hard feelings :)
Its not an original image and has been done in the past as I also posted in details section. It was something I wanted to try out.

I also sent you a PM, I hope you got it.

too often around here the focus is all on the whining and complaining. it's nice to see such a display of graciousness. well done...to both of you.

Gaurawa is so cool.

I have commented how a shot could be imporoved when voting, then it ribbons. I have looked pretty darn silly.

Dont feel bad, it happens.

Well, I made the words in public, so I figured it only fitting that I eat them in public. :)

Besides, I wouldn't know original if it snuck up and bit me on the ass, so I have no room to talk. Actually, I come up with all kinds of nifty ideas, and some may even be original, but most of them just aren't feasible without a full-on Hollywood costume and props department. Anyone that can come up with cool idea that's actually do-able without jumping through a bunch of major hoops deserves a ribbon... or two. :)

Enjoy the ribbon gaurawa. You won it fair and square and you deserve it. Tthank you for your patience.

In the meantime, I'll sit here and try to come up with a super original idea to beat you in the next challenge. Don't hold your breath though. :)

Hmmp, as an Oregonian driver, I think we are much better than those drivers down in Calf.

;)

And you still don't have to (get to?) pump your own gas ...

Stuck my foot in it again, didn't I? Okay, I apologize to all the good Oregon drivers out there.

The rest of you Oregon drivers should go drive around Los Angeles for a few years. While you're doing that, try to remember that cars were designed to move people faster than they can walk. And please, never ever come to a complete stop on a freeway on-ramp to make a left turn into freeway traffic moving at 65-70 mph. The fengshui is much better with the cars moving along in their own lanes and not all piled together as they get when they have to slam on their brakes and swerve to avoid you as you âmergeâ into the traffic. Yes, I understand that using the accelerator pedal costs you money, but sometimes itâs a necessary evil. Get over it or get off the road.

That's cool of you. I got a similar comment left on one of my current entries (about it being done before). However, I have only seen it done twice at DPC. Go figure.

Edited to add: Btw, not from you. Just wanted to clarify that.

Not this one I presume. I'm sure I'd still be having nightmares if I had seen this before. :)
