As a member, when you don't have a current challenge entry you also do not have the UPDATE button on your home page. I have read dozens of threads on how people miss the UPDATE button when they are not entered in anything. Personally I don't use the UPDATE button to refresh score, I use it to refresh the threads (reload in the browser is not as accurate when you use tabbed browsing).

Can we have the UPDATE button on our home page regardless of current challenge entry status?

Just think...it would be like you discovered a cure for a terrible and rare disease...

It should be possible -- I've seen one on the "The Site Is Down For Maintenance" page : )
