I caught a couple shots of lightning bolts. This one turned out pretty good, but the other one was kinda "blah."

If I remember right, the camera settings were ISO 50, shutter "5, and aperture 8.

wow! that is great. You actually see where it comes out of the sky and where it landed. Great capture. Do you have a smaller example (pixel size) so it'll fit my screen.

Thanks.

Cool shot.
Wish we'd have some action here, I have been unable to get any lightning shots all summer. Only action we've gotten has been at 04:00, not going to get up and shoot at that time!

BTW, the site you have your shot posted on tries to download software to my computer...

I was coming back from a work training class, and kept seeing flashes about every two or three seconds out of the corner of my eye. Took the next offramp and found a nice open area to shoot from. Took a total of about 70 shots.

As for the site, it's notorious for pop-ups and tons of crap like that. I run Opera for my browser, so I don't see any of that anymore. Any suggestions on where I could upload my pictures for everyone here to see? I have an imagestation account, and that's a pretty good host, but you have to be a member to view other's pictures.

And Jacko, I'll see what I can do about putting a smaller version on a more user-friendly site.
