Good news: I got a ribbon in the lens cap challenge *doing the snoopy dance*

Bad news: I might get DQ'ed because I may not be able to submit the original .RAW file within 48 hours

Good news: The reason I may not be able to submit original is becuase I'm at the cottage to the end of the week. Here's the view from the window in the fireplace room. The water you see is the Atlantic Ocean. The boat you see will very soon be out with me in it fishing for cod. BIG GRIN

So what would you have done? I can drive home where my desktop PC is and submit it. The drive is 2 hours each way... 4 hours away from paradise - argh! Or I can stay here and loose my ribbon. It's just sooo sunny and beautiful today.

if you have the same CF card with you there, and havent written over it yet you might be able to recover the RAW image (even though you deleted it from the cf) using a recovery software. The you can submit it from your paradise using whatever computer you are using there.

If you can't do that (recover the RAW image).....wait till the sun goes down in paradise and do the drive down then.

Edited to add......Congrats Trollman!!

You know if your ribbon was in the Still Life challenge I'd say take the DQ brother! :P

Seriously, I think if you explained that to the SC they'd give you an extension. No?

Btw, if you have a laptop you could have used something like GoToMyPC to access your desktop remotely. It works great.

That's a very good suggestion - thanks! I have done this before but didn't think of it this time. I have formatted the CF card many times since but there is always a hope. Come to think of it; I was out and shot pictures of 4 properties (a LOT of pictures) for a realtor since, so I'm pretty sure it is overwritten. But I will try...

Hope special circmstances allow the extra time.
I know at times rules can be adjusted under certain cases.
(like hospital visits....)
