The local volunteer fire department came to the empty houe next door this evening to do a training session. the sprog was in bed, so i ran out with my camera. they let me do my thing, and completely ignored me - perfect! i shot over 100 images, will submit to the local paper, and will give the department some shots for their website.
but, why couldn't they have come during the evironmental portrait challenge??????
straight shots, no pp yet.

In the original post the third pic is great. You should close crop the hand out. Would love to see more. I am currently shooting a photo essay on public services. It's nice to see other pics to get a sense of what I can expect when I get the fire services. This summer I will be spending a lot of time with the Oceanside CA. lifeguards. Met with the higher ups and got an ok to do a ride along for the summer. Should be pretty nice. |

Every shot you posted looks like material for the paper to me... but if you have shots of them in action, I think those should get first consideration. And yeah it stinks that this didn't happen a couple of weeks ago! Would've been perfect for the EP challenge! Good luck with the paper! |
