I have been inspired by a presentation we had at camera club tonight about slideshows.I've had a little play with what I have avilable on my computer which is very basic.

What free basic softwarwe do you use and reccommend?

Do you have any helpful hints about slide shows?

Can you post your slide shows for information and inspiration.

Cheers

Photostory 3 Is about the easiest free one that you will find.

TIPS: Use as many landscape shots as you can as Photostory 3 produces a 4:3 (standard monitor/tv) slide show. You will want to remove the black bars on your portrait shots.

Put your shots in order in a folder before starting PS3 so that all you have to do is CTRL+A and drag and drop all images into PS3. Ordering in PS3 is not as easy as it could be.

* Dial-up Warning - this is a 1.5M file *
A MS Word Doc that I did for my marketing folk at work to get them started.

For a Slideshow with text, Use MovieMaker 2 that comes with Windows XP (SP2) it is already on your PC.

Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment

Tougher to work with than Photostory 3 but way more text options.

Andy, that looks like a terrific tutorial.

I often end up helping people with things like this, and your tutorial might save me some time.

Since you posted it on here, I assume you don't mind if we use it, and even pass it on (with your name on it, of course)?

Thanks for sharing!

OK this where I show my true colours and how dumb I am!

I have had a look and it seems that Photostory3 is better than the photostory ( from the written description anyway) I already have on Digital Image Pro 10. So I downloaded it and now I dont know where it is! Also how do I get it on to DIP 10?

Edit spelling

If you installed it from the MS site... the icon will be on the Start > All Programs menu.

Still looking for the link in DIP 10, no luck finding it yet. I use DIP 10 at home this one here at work Might be the Digital Image Suite 2006???
