Hey everybody,
Well, my friend is flying to the US tomorrow for his brother's wedding, and is going to stay there for about two weeks.
He asked if he must bring something back for me, and I gave him a list *grin*
Question is, where can I tell him to go look, especially at good prices? B&H? thats the only one I know... Also, he doesnt know ANYTHING about photography so he;ll be condemned to shove a piece of paper with equipment to a salesman and go: "I need this please"
LOL.
Please, if someone can help i'd be forever thankful. |

Guyver; I would suggest sending a PM to Blemt, (if she doesn't see this first). I believe she is still in retail camera sales in the D.C. area.

Sigma Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto 24-70mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro DF Autofocus Lens for Canon EOS
Sandisk 2GB Extreme III CompactFlash Card
Canon BG-E3 Vertical Grip/Battery Holder for EOS Digital Rebel XT
Those three items :)
These came off the BH site, and amounts to about:

Okay, nobody in a store setting witll be able to match B&H's prices. So just be prepared for that.
Penn Camera on E Street (Downtown DC)
Ritz Camera on 17th and L Street (Downtown DC)
Are your two best bets in the District. Both should have those items in stock. Both stores can match the other location's prices. :) Stay away from non-camera stores (Best Buy, Circut City)
Ritz Camera has several stores in the DC area. Not all of them carry everything. The store I'm suggesting is the "ultra" store. They literally carry one of everything the company stocks.
Both stores can be hit or miss customer service wise. I've had some truly rotten experiences at both locations as a customer. I've PM'd you my work number. If he runs into trouble have him give me a call and I'll see what I can do to help out. :) |
