when updating the details of a printable file it might be nice to have a 'preview' button. like the challenge submissions page here. ( preview your photograph ). it would make proof reading the image description easier.
EDIT: i mean if you are trying to use forum code, you don't know if it's working...
just a thought....

obviously there are more IMPORTANT things in the forums than a measly idea...
how many shots does it take to make a good foto?
why are all my shots voted porly?
how come my camera doesn't work like i hopped?

soup - your post seemed directed more to D&L - the people who make this site happen. It wasn't something that required an answer from the members so I think that is why you have not seen anything posted here. If you wanted input, you might try rephrasing it asking for input. Meanwhile, you might consider emailing D&L with your site suggestion.

input isn't something that needs to be asked for around here. it comes in droves... just not necessarily in the right form.
frustrated with all the BS in the forums... maybe my last effort at ways of enhancing this place.

Since this perhaps concerns the Portfolio Manager functions more than the Print site, I'm going to move the thread to the Site Suggestions, in the hope that it's more likely to get attention from the proper people (Langdon).
If it's possible to impliment the Preview function (a la the forums) for the photo details, maybe it could also be added to the Personal Message composition window as well -- right now, I usually catch a typo after the message has been sent. : ( |
