I'm thinking of getting these in 5x7 and matted for a couple shops over in town. Do you think they are buyable? If not where can I improve? I'd love more than anything to get the schooner with the sails up but have had no luck yet.

The originals are clearer so ignore that. As far as the pictures them selves any editing advice or where I can make them better would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I like the 2nd one best. One idea I had would be to make the "Gone Fishing" letters a little different, maybe play around with some different fonts. And also maybe try the text in the lower right corner, in other words, not dead center. Just a thought.

I don't think I'll be putting the text on the actual prints unless I handwrite it on the mat. Thanks for that input though. I'll have to fiddle some more. I like the idea of it being off to the side though. Makes sense.

I also like the second one. Agree that the text should not be centered. The first would be better if it was at sail, but you got to work with what you got. I would buy both. I know people who are sailing/boating fanatics.

I really like the secon one as well.

What I do, if I title a piece of art work, is I handwrite the title on the left bottom corner of the picture and then sign it on the smae spot on the right.

Very well done!

I think they are definitely sellable. I actually like the first one best. It just has a very nice clean/clear look to it and the blue in the water is more vibrant. As for the second one it has a color cast that I think could be removed but you said the larger ones are clearer so you may have already corrected that.

are you referring to the hazy bg? I'm not sure how to correct that. I tried filling with a blue but it looked to obvious, then tried filling the water and the sky with the same blue, looked better but still obvious lol.

Yeah. I don't shoot too many landscape type images but for something like this I would probably use the color balance adjustment if you use photoshop. Reduce the blue slider in the midtones and bump up the red and green. You'll lose some blue in the sky and water so if you use an adjustment layer for this you can paint that back in by creating a mask for it. There may be a better way but that's what I would do.

okay i'll try that. I have PSP8, but I think I can do that in there. There was quite a bit of humidity that day too so it didn't help.
