I have uploaded a few pictures into my portfolio as collections named 'nature' and 'anime'. All of my post-processing would qualify as 'Basic Editing', mostly because I'm not so proficient with advanced editing techniques.

I'm here to try to learn to be a better photographer, so please leave me some helpful feedback on what's good and how I might have improved things on some of those pictures.

Thanks.

I love the anime photos. Always though cosplay was cool.

Honestly, and this disgusts some of my snobbish anime friends, I attend these things basically to enjoy and take pictures of the costumes. I'm actually happier when the anime itself isn't so good, because then people are out and about in their costumes more often.

Is this from Soul Calibur III?

I'm not sure. I just thought it was a really nice costume, and I had the luck of a decent background for the shot. Some of the staff at Anime Central this year were particularly hostile to photographers (I had one guy just about hit my camera back into my face!), so I couldn't remain in one place too long to ask questions. The one area with decent light and a usable backdrop, and they don't want people taking pictures there!

I'll get camera EXIF info updated on these pictures when I get access to my originals at home.

I can see why you want to take photos of those costumes, meyers. Left you a couple of comments as well.

Anyone else willing to give me some feedback on any of the pictures in my nature or anime portfolios?

this could use a bit of curves & levels to make the subject POP. cool shot.

beautiful pictures! I left a few comments on your nature collection, you have an excellent talent for composition and finding/framing the perfect subject, just keep up with your post processing work, and those'll be awesome photos! nice job

Thank you to everyone who have given me comments and feedback. I'll read Bear_Music's landscape thread to see how to improve the nature pictures.
