Hello Everyone...

I am new to this site, but I love it so far. I need help. I am in the process of learning... would love to do this as more than a hobby. Currently I have the Digital Rebel XT (350D). I would love to upgrade, but I have much more to learn with it before making the hop. I was wondering if anyone could offer advice on photo finishing. I am just learning, but my photos do not look as finished as everyone here. In fact, some of the skies and flowers on this site look so great, that I think they are fake (only joking, they are beautiful pictures and I am jealous). Can someone take a look at a few of these and tell me what I need to do to give them that 'extra umph'. I do have Photoshop CS as well. Also, I am currently shooting in Large format Jpeg. (Just got a add on flash, so from here on out, the pictures should be better lit).

Thank you!!!!

Photoshop proficiency, IMO, does have something to do with success on this site. PS can turn a great pic into an even greater one. I highly suggest Photoshop for Digital Photographers by Scott Kelby. I knew nothing about PS until I started learning from his books :)

Thank you all so very much for your replies! I really appreciate it! I have so much fun taking pictures... in fact, I consider myself "giddy". I would definitely like to do more with it... Thanks again for the advice, I will study up!
