yes.

I get the feeling that success and failure challenges this week are going to require people to think out of the box when voting. I think that if you enter an out of the box photo, you probably should put a title that somewhat explains your thinking for the photo.

Had an idea that could actually have worked in BOTH challenges, but ran out of time, am stuck at home with the kids tonight and tomorrow I have to go shoot a dress rehersal all evening and of course am stuck at work during the day so you guys will have to live without me in this challenge.

:(

So tell me your idea, maybe I can use it ;)

I'm bouncing between failure and success.

So what else is new..lol

I put mines in success...I figured since i want to be successful i should avoid all failures....even if they were actual attempts at failing.

well, my son chose his favourite, so, it's 10s all the way!

I have one for each, taken in the same general place. I can't decide which to use. Neither are wonderful, but each does clearly meet challenge... ohhh, decisions, decisions.
Well, I already know whichever way I decide to go will be wrong...

I polled my friends on which best fit my photo concept. They overwhelmingly voted for "Success". However, while it represents a personal breakthrough with regards to lighting techniques, I think my "Success" entry will turn out to be a failure.

I can't decide if most of the entries are going to be very literal photographs of "success/failure" or if they're going to be more abstract or representative... hmm... I think both could be fun.

I successfully completed the task of failing to enter a picture in either of these challenges.

Failure....what else?
05/23/2006 06:53:08 AM · #42
I won't have much trouble to submit a failure, LOL seemingly every entry I did last few weeks, seems to be one.

I had a nice one on the 12th, can't enter that one, but I think I will succeed to get brown with the one I have made now.

My "failure" currently in the heat challenge means I'd be wise to avoid doing success or failure this week, so I shall.
05/23/2006 07:51:40 AM · #44
well I just entered a picture for failure (I hope the pun in that doesn't come true... oh come'on, you had to expect that joke) wish me luck that my failure entry is a success (went back to my camera for this one)

Any pic that fits one challenge would also fit the other.

One's failure can always be considered as another's success.

Ah, but not every success requires another's failure.

I'm in big trouble. I like my entry. That always leads to a big disappointment.

My success entry is going to be a failure...

So if I entered it in to the Failure challenge, would that make it a success? Ouch, that just hurt my brain......
05/24/2006 08:22:02 AM · #48
Judging by the one comment I have, my success is destined to be a failure.
05/26/2006 11:12:14 AM · #49
So far my failure entry is turning out to not be as big of a success as I had planned. I'm at about a 5 right now... ergh, I'd like to be up a little more. Oh well... hopefully the Beatles challenge will turn out better for me.

uhhhhhhhhhhh...you're not supposed to describe/talk about which entry is yours until the voting is over.

(..edit to remove self-stupidity...)

....crawls buck under rock
