I've got 5 canon, 1 nikon, 1 panasonic, 1 konica, and 1 baghead comment so far... nothing to draw from this?

well, I really thought that this photo was better than my other entries, and apparently I'm wrong. It's not doing too horrible, but definitely worse than both my other ones. Finally got more comments, I'm up to three now... lol
edit: oops, 6 comments- 2 canon, 2 nikon, 1 panasonic, and one baghead (heheehehe.. I like that saying)

I don't think that I've ever received so many votes. I haven't been *that* active recently, so maybe the DPC population grew in the meantime.
I've received over 200 votes in 2 voting days! 11 comments! Sitting at 5.6x now, wishing for more votes higher than that of course. Or some 2nd round bumps:) |

I think this is just a fun challenge to vote on. Pretty cut and dry as to what meets the challenge and it's interesting to see what people came up with.

It would be interesting to see how many Hundreds more Cannon Comments were left to Nikon comments.

I wonder what the comments by camera breakdown is on all challenges, and if it is different for the lenscap challenge since camera type is evident in the photos.

Not surprising. 4 of the top 5 most popular cameras on this site are Canon models. The Canon 300D alone has about as many owners as the top two Nikon models combined. |

Actually it's not that cut and dry. Technically the lens cap is supposed to be the main subject. But to me as long as it had a lens cap (whether it be a camera lens, glasses lens, etc.) in it, that was good enough. Some people may vote harder if it wasn't the main subject. |

I did take 1 or 2 points off for not having the lens cap be the subject, but did not come down as hard as normal for DNMC shots.

| Just out of curiosity. Has anyone got a bad comment yet? I mean one to explain your score. 10 of my 11 comments are all really good comments and 1 was a insignificant comment that had nothing to do with the photography at all (not a bad nor a good comment). But for the praise I'm getting on the photo, my score is still at approx. a 5.3. AND I KNOW IT MET THE CHALLENGE. There is no doubt it met the challenge. I'm just curious as to the low score per the comments recieved? |
