So it is time that I buy noise reduction software? Which do you suggest?

I tried both and then chose Noise Ninja. As I found it simpler to use and get better results.

Ifordhere posted a comparison shot that helped me decide. I went with Noise Ninja.

Well the difference in this example is the noise ninja image had it's contrast boosted (something you can do in the filter) which is why it stands out. As far as the noise reduction is concern I don't see much of a difference. In fact I tend to see better results with neatimage provided you get a good sample area to work with. However with that said I use noise ninja these days only because I'm lazy and it seems to work quicker with less work involved. :)

neat image. that's ISO800.

So is this


$50 for the version with the plug in. I no have the Pro version - i need to batch 100's of images and it works NICE. it reads the ISO for each image and finds the profile and there ya go - go to bed noisy and wake up clean.

I use neat image, sometimes to excess....but i love it...
