I was banding birds this morning with my mother and we accidentally knocked my Sigma 105mm macro lens off of a picnic table and onto a concrete floor. Besides a little scuff mark the lens is 100% okay even after the fall and a few bounces. Whew!
That's the first and last time I ever want to test the build quality of the lens. |

My sigma seems to have pretty good build quality too. I have never tested it but it feels like one of my most solid lens in my collection.
