I know this is off the beaten path for a 'photography site' but...
My 'favorites' keep disappering in Internet Explorer 6.0. When I try to add them, I get the dialog box that says they are already there and asks if I want to write over them. The computer thinks they are there, but they don't show up. I've been through all of the menus for IE 6.0 as well as internet properties( I am running Windows XP Pro). I downloaded Internet Explorer 6.0 with the Service Pack 1 (latest and greatest) and installed it, but no change. This is very strange...
I do have three small children, and I don't know if they changed a setting by accident. If they have, I have been unable to find it.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
JD Anderson

Are you logging in as the same user every time? If there's a different user, the favourites are going to be different.

Yes, always logged in as me...
Seems kind of weird.

Do the folders and files exist in c:\documents and settings\'username'\favorites ? This is where the information is stored for Windows 2000.

Thanks Harold...
Your comment pointed me in the right direction.
I went to the above folder and my user settings folder was missing. My other family members were there, but mine was gone. Turns out it was hidden and archived. Every now and then, my 18 month old does something weird to my computer... How he pulled that off, I don't know. I have them unhidden and all is well...

Thanks,

Glad I could be of help, and I believe that your child is headed towards greatness...
