So I did a shoot with a bellydance troupe that my wife is a member of.
Because they are not a Traditional Bellydance troupe they can throw down some very different looks even with the same basic lighting...
The first is the American Cabaret style of Raqs Sharqi- This is closer to what people think of when you say bellydancer.
the second is a "darker version" of the dance called Tribal Fusion it is very American in nature has a kinda "goth" feel to it
My (not very good scoring) open challenge entry is from a true tribal group called Liquid Hips
The Third is why this isn't your typical bellydance troupe... this costuming was done for a piece that used "I'm too sexy" for the music.
I figured I'd pass some info into the very cool world of bellydance photography...
CC is always welcome

if the third one wasnt so noisy in the background i would have scored it higher than i did. I thought maybe they were roller derby girls though. lol, but vey interesting subjects, i like the first one and the last one alot(rodger rabbit)also. |

I agree with you on the dangerous dancer one...the grain (noise) does not translate well digitally ... but it does printed...
We had made the Jessica comment while shooting ... so I figured I'd have fun with it
