Hi All,
I̢۪m inexperienced at selecting lens and filters and I̢۪m hoping someone out here could help me make the right choice for my FinePix S9000
I̢۪m looking to buy a polarizer filter and on searching on Amazon.com I came across a heap of different brands (Tiffen, B+W, SunPack, etc) of varying prices. Could anyone direct me to the best brand for polarizer filters?
I was also looking for a telephoto lens and came across Raynox DCR-2020, Pro 2.2x ($170) and Opteka 2.2x HD² ($25). Has anyone had any experience with either of them? Which do you think I should get?
Thanks! |

Hoya and B&W are both excellent brands for filters. Personally I use Hoya (multicoated - HMC, if possible) for round filters (I also use the Cokin system of square filters, but more for film than digital).

I too have the Hoya HMC filter. It's excellent. Here's the first photo I took with it. Without the filter the sky wasn't nearly as blue. Polarizers are fun to work with.
