Looks like John White and I have the Top 10 shots for this lens almost all to ourselves... ;) |

I haven't found it slow, but then my previous walkaround was the 17-40L which is f/4 also. Maybe I just don't know what I'm missing.
As a walkaround I do find I miss the 17-23 portion, but it is more than made up for by the 41-105 portion. I did notice some slight barrel or pincushion distortion in my window framed shot, but it's mild.
Since I've gotten it, it hasn't left my camera. It also dovetails very nicely into a scheme which includes the 10-22 and the 100-400 (or 70-200). |
