Has anyone tried the Shutter Stock footage? Gotten any sales?

I've got some pretty good footage from hurricane Katrina and am thinking about uploading it.

I submitted 5 clips, but they all diappeared! I can't tell if they were accepted or rejected. I don't think they've opened for business yet so maybe they're still working on it.

Isn't video footage kind of an application-specific thing? Like if it's for a commercial, wouldn't they want to shoot it the way they wanted it.

I submitted a fairly large photo batch the same day, so I couldn't tell what was what.

I think it may have something to do with me saving my originals from the camera as MPEG files instead of DV AVI. Probably introduced some artifacting.

They apparently have some reason to believe that there's a market for short video clips, the way there is for sound clips and stock photos.

Yeah, that's the general idea of it. I think it'll work. Too bad, I never thought I'd be using that footage for anything.

Note to self: when transferring DV to harddrive use DV instead of MPEG to save.
