Ok, I'm a Canadian, so here it is to mix it up!
Oregon has people who cannot spell 'commune'...
Judging by their lack of response on the issue, NYC does too :)
Incidentally, us boys up in the West Coast of Canada have respect for Oregon... Pretty place...
Indeed, it's probably the #1 place in America I'd live... or the only place in America I'd live... if they could get a handle on teaching things like SPELLING in the schools. :) |

Oregon has rain. We have Rain.
Oregon has Mt. Bachelor. We have eligible bachelors.
Oregon has dwindling red-tail hawk populations. We have the flourishing Pale Male.
We have HIM. What the heck could Oregon have that possibly tops that? Absofrigginlutelynothin!
OdysseyF22, go eat a spiedie and behave or I'm calling Lois... :) [/quote]
You know Lois TOO??!! Wow, I am impressed! Under a threat like that, I guess I had better behave. :-D
Ok, I've checked your links. You've got a restaurant named "Rain", Falcons living in condos and flying into windows, a desperate bachelor and Abe. I'll give you Abe but the rest sounds like you're on our side.
Come on NYC It takes hundreds of NYC DPCers to come up with this?
I guess we only need a few after all :-) |

Well, I guess it's time to stop for the night. Apparently, the folks in the "City that never sleeps" have gone to bed.
In Oregon we don't sleep. We drink far too much coffee for that. |

In Oregon, we breath the fresh air off the Pacific Ocean... In NY they breath the air from New Jersey.
In Oregon, when someone honks at you, they just want to get your attention so they can wave high to you... In NY when someone honks at you, they wave too... they just don't use all their fingers.
In Oregon, we are kindered souls with New Jersey... Oregon is over run with Californians... New Jersey is over run with New Yorkers.
In Oregon, it's "Roll On, Columbia, Roll On"... in New Your it's "Get a move on traffic, get a move on... Pleeeze."

In NYC when you say, "The City" you expect the rest of us to understand you're referring to Brooklyn. |

On that cheesecake
Cream Cheese from Wisconsin
Eggs from New Jersey
Sugar from Hawaii
Flour from Montana
Vanilla from Tahiti
Can't "yous" guys do anything on your own? Oh yeah, you're good at mixing it up and cooking it with natural gas from Utah.
Actually, you do make some good cheesecakes but again that's not the thread. |

Yeah Mick, maybe we should let up a little. I know, let's give em some ideas.
In Oregon a seven course meal is a hotdog and a sixpack of microbrew.
In Oregon formal wear is jeans and a Columbia Gortex Jacket.
Oregonians don't tan, they rust.
OK NYC, carry on! |

It is a boring place...far far away. David Blaine tried to find out
why someone would want to visit... He stayed in an oversized fishbowl
until someone could give him a good answer on the question "What is
there to do in Oregon?" and he almost died a week later with no answer.
After a bunch of days with no answer, he chained himself up to commit
suicide and let go of his breathing equipment in hopes of ending it all.
This picture was taken the night before his suicide attempt... You can
clearly see about 50 people from Oregon trying to convince him that it
is a cool place to visit.
