Has anyone experienced a stupidly slow write speed to disk when using BULB or long exposures?
I'm experiencing this problem with all my CF cards as of last night. I'd be grateful for any feedback of similar fault or remedies.
If not then simply let this thread sink slowly in an forlorn silence to the bottom of the heap, fester, decompose and finally languish as a mere husk of what should have been usefulness.
Cheers

Under custom functions in the menu, disable long exposure noise reduction. I think it's number 2 in the list of custom functions. |

Thanks so much. I had to reset all my settings to cam default recently and the noise reduction may be something that was reset. Cheers for that.

That can be a real bugger when you're not expecting it. Glad that's all it was for you. |

Yeah that looks like its the noise reduction. For any noise reduction it takes the same amount of time for the Process as the exposure.
i.e.
If you took a 20 second exposure, after the shutter closes, it takes another 20 seconds to process the Noise reduction. |

That's because it processes an identically timed exposure with the shutter closed to know what to subtract from the desired image. |
