I am selling the Sigma EF-500 DG Super E-TTL II Shoe Mount Flash. I bought this from B & H about 2 months ago. It is in perfect shape, doesn't really get much use, mostly because I don't take it out enough. I am looking to gather some $$ for a new lens.
I am going to put this on ebay, but I thought I would offer it to the fine people at DPchallenge first. I figure I get a lot of info from you, and would be happy to let you have a first go at this flash.
I paid $229 + $10 shipping.
I am looking to get $200 + $10 shipping.
If interested, I can do this through Paypal ASAP. If you are interested, let me know through this thread, and I will give you a different email address.

| Just wanted to say that I own this specific flash and have used it with my rebel xt for about 6 months now. I just shot a wedding with it this past weekend. It is a great flash for the money and does all I'll ever need it to do. Just wanted to give you a free bump and let people know this is a great flash unit. |

I think i/m getting the more stupid one, i mean, the non-super as backup later this year.
BTW, the Super can be had new on ebay, shipped for $210.

Prof Fate, why would you post that comment? I am offering a good piece of equipment for a good price. Are you trying to look out for all the members here? If you can get this new on ebay for the same price, post the auction, I have checked and ebay is selling for $210 + $15 ship.

I wouldn't buy from someone dodgy regardless. Why not support a reputable seller? What if there is a problem e.g. dead on arrival or dies within a few days of arrival. Do you think these guys will help you then? The few extra dollars are well worth it.
Support the good guys instead! |

you bought it new - it has a manufacturers warranty. contact sigma.

Well its Friday. Too bad that someone changed my thread topic to discuss the seller ratings of ebay. I actually sold this to a friend locally so I didn't need to use ebay after all. For anyone wondering, I got $215 and they picked it up. I love bill me later from B & H. I essentially "rent things" for a few months, and sell it on ebay.
My newest purchase from selling this was a canon 100mm f/2.8 USM macro. |

On Fred Miranda it's called 'rude and bad etiquette' by the moderator when someone does this. I've seen it. Unfortunately that's not in the rules here at DPC :/ But I agree....it's not very nice. Just my opinion though. :)

Prof WTH man, I sould see trying to haggle with him on price if you were intrested in it your self but that was just plain rude. |
