Run far and fast. Royal Camera is a well-known bait-and-switch operation. They'll tell you that you have to call to confirm your order, then sell you the items that should be in the kit (such as batteries) and other accessories such as memory cards at exorbitant prices. If you refuse to buy them, the camera will suddenly be "backordered" and you'll never see it.

On ResellerRatings.com they have a 6-month customers service rating of 0.00 and a lifetime rating of 1.54 (out of 10).

I actually got my 350D from these assholes. They are truly a bait and switch. The advertised price was like $569 for the body only. I had to call and confirm like the other guy said and they tried to sell me the kit and I continued to say I only wanted the body and then he proceeded to lie to me saying that the body would take months to arrive because it had to be shipped from Japan. Man - if I had known anything about anything regarding photography at the time I wouldn't have gone along with it. I refused his offers so many times though that I ended up getting the kit with batteries and such for the same price that Wolf sells the kit at. He said he'd throw in a memory card too which he didn't. I truly believe that the BBB should shut down these horrible people.

As one who used to work at the BBB (many long years ago) I can say, they don't have the power to shut down anybody.
But! If you call to ask what kind of business reputation they have, they will tell you. Then you can make up your own mind if you want to deal with the business.
Enough bad reports, and they shut themselves down for lack of business. |

Not true, not with internet-based stores anyway. I've heard of them (and similar ones) when I was in the market for my first dslr, sometimes early 2004. They still exist, and people still get ripped off. I don't see how is this going to change, without a massive education of all people on the internet. And that's never going to happen... not in our lifetime at least.
So, google is your friend. (and other search engines).
