hi all, I was not sure were to post this so I came here.
You see last friday (may fifth) was my 25th birthday. I expected most my family wouls give me monay sinse I had asked them too.

You see I was saving up for a canon eos 350d.

Imagine my suprice when my parents, my mums sister and her son give that camera, with 2 extra lenses and battery grip! the package costs close to $1700 here in Iceland.
I still get shaky thinking off their generosity.

My family is not rich, I come from lower class, we were farmers who hadto sell our landfor one tenth of what it was worth. My father workes in fish factory and my mother looks after my sisters 2 sons while she is in school.
We have learned that we have to work hard for the things we want, and I never expected I would have it handed to me.
Although my sister got almost as much monay from them as well (they had aparantly desidet this long time ago but whaited to give me mine for my birthday and give me a camera so i wouldnt use the monay for mundain things like heatingbills) the gift is so very special for me and I am sure I will enjoy it for long time to come.

I know this has been a bit of a long rant for me so I will stop now. I just wanted to share my happyness and joy.

All I have to do now is to figure out how this works, anyways heres some pictures I have taken with my wonderfull new camera.
My sisters younger son.
