I want to watermark a batch of images with a custom watermark (not an invisible digimark, but an actual watermark that says the name of my company across the image) to prevent people from reproducing it when I give it to them. What is the best way of going about this in CS2?

Create an action to put the watermark on one image.

In the bridge, select all the images you want to add the watermark to and use the image processing menu option.

As part of the process you can resize, save in different format (at the same time) and run an action.

I like BreezeBrowser for this you can create proofs that can either have a text or an image watermarked over top. You can also batch resize, add border, desaturate, and sharpen through the same interface.

Select images to proof. Tools > Proofs. Set options. Click Proof Selection.

You can also automate the process all within CS2 without using the Bridge by choosing "File->Automate->Batch"
