I have just submitted my picture for the "Night Shot III" Challenge. I will be out of town when the results are posted and will not be available to validate my picture if requested. How do I get it validated before the challenge is over while I am still at home? Thanks for the help.

I believe there is a way to self-validate before the challenge? Not sure where to do that, however.

If you preview your submission, there should be a link at the bottom of that page where you can request validation on your own image. That way it'll get taken care of before you go! :-)

I thought there was a link but I have looked and can't seem to find it.

Once the challenge, begins, go to the voting page. At the end of the thumbnail list, you'll see the thumbnail for your image. Click that thumbnail, and you'll see a link on that page to request validation. Be sure to indicate in the space provided for the reason that you'll be out of town.

If you are leaving before the challenge goes into voting, you can attach the file to a ticket on the Help/Contact page. Please do NOT use this method unless you're leaving before the challenge begins, as it's a bit more work on our side. If you do this, please indicate the challenge you entered and the title of your entry.

Thanks,
Terry

You'll have to submit it as an attachment to a Ticket (under the Help > Contact menu). Include the original as an attachment, and all your editing details and an explanation of the situation in the text of the ticket.

The link to request validation doesn't appear until the voting starts, since we can't actually validate a photo until them.

CJ: I thought you were "on vacation." : )

Thanks Terry,
I see it how to do it now. I will be leaving after the contest has begun so I will validate it as you have suggested from the voting page. Thanks again. Larry
