I need a title for this photo that I will be entering in a contest at work. Can any of you great title folks help me out?

I'm drawing a blank on a title, but I can help you rotate it ccw so the boat's vertical :-) I'll think about it, prepping an 8-course Chinese feast right now...

I have no problem making a boat vertical - the print was done with some ccw rotation. I just need a title. ty

Today's Tom Sawyer

A journey back in time

Mississippi Queen

A simpler time

These all kinda suck and or are cliche' but that is all I have for now.

(sensor dust spot was corrected before printing)

Title possibility: "Lazy Afternoon"

I'd recommend considering a little tighter crop where you cut out the rightmost tree all together and crop the bottom up almost to the trunk on the leftmost tree. It still captures the tranquility of the scene while it gives the boat a more dominant presence and offsets it from the center of the frame providing more viewer interest.

Other "better" title possibilties might be:

"Riverboat Shootout"
"Sex in Steerage"
"Paddle your Kids!"
"Tiny People on Far Bank"
"Sweet Sewage"
"Terrorist Infiltration"

Thank you for the suggestions. Those "better" titles probably would get frowned upon by the hospital photo judges though. lol I'll give the tighter crop a try. Trick is the photo has to be exactly 8x10 (stupid dimensions for scenic if you ask me.)

That would have been great for DPC Cinema had this been taken a few days later.

As you may nitice - I uploaded the print version - which when I looked back on was already cropped as suggested by stdavidson, and tilted as recommended by Bear_music. So this way you can see exactly what the judges will see.

Hmmmm... given it is a hospital, maybe these titles work better...

"Bloody Deck"
"Floating Hospital"
"Nurse Orgy"
"Drowning Catastrophy"
"Doctor's Retirement Investment"
"Where's the Golf Course?"
"Send the Bill!"

Up the Creek With a Paddle

Breezing By the Willows

Ripples and Relaxation

(River's name) Daydream

how about the boat's name? sometimes they are cute, like 'The Mini-Ha-Ha'...

I really like Breezing by the Willows! A very fitting title - and family friendly. I think I'll go with it! Thank you so much!

Meanwhile - Since you came up with the title, PM me if you would like a 8x10 print with your address and I will send you one.
