When do you get back?

June 5 -

Oh... it's not likely to end that late... but there may be a third one if there's enough interest!

This is a great idea. Also, you don't even have to increase the brackets to do this. Say you have 75 people interested but still want to keep the brackets at 64. Just double up some of the matchups so that only 64 "games" are counted. In other words they'll be a few matchups that have 3 people going against each other with the highest score advancing. Since it's all for charity and you do those matchups randomly who cares if you get stuck having to defeat 2 people to advance out of the first round? Anway, count me in for whatever the consensus wants.

Well,if you're ready to start before I get back, I guess it's "Bleacher Bum" for me, then. My nice remote Greek island won't have such niceties as Internet cafes where I could compete)

Keep up the good work, Club Juggle.

My mom was diagnosed with MS about 10 years ago. Count me in for any format please. 1, 2 and or 3.

I want advanced editing also however I think we should also have basic editing so we don't limit the field.

Any format Terry. Though I got "kicked out" in Round 1, I will join again.:) It's for a good cause.

Why not include all the challenges during the week and get the highest score? Sometimes, some of us just don't feel entering the second challenge of the week because we already got burnt out with the first one?

That's definitely an option. I'll have to work out how to deal with speed or extended challenges in that format, though.

1 or 2, but would consider 3 since it's a good cause. Are you gonna give dibs to those in the first brackets or make it first come first serve again?

It'll be first come, first served, so people who didn't make it the first time have a fair shot at competing.

I'm all for all the challenges. I suck at basic editing. Down with open challenges dammit.

I like 1 but I would pay extra to have a loser's bracket. ;)

How does a loser's bracket work?

I have no earthly idea.

I'd love to play, and any of the 3 formats works for me. It's a great cause & looks like fun. (I'm not sure I'd like to pegged as the loser of the losers' championships though)

I would be happy to do any of the above and would rather that all the cash goes to MS.

I like that idea! It would give me a chance somewhere. lol

Count me in for either of the three.I missed the first round of the current one, maybe I'll have better luck the next one (if I get in).

I prefer 3, then 2, then 1 (not because I hope to win big, but because of your noble cause)

In tournament competition where "losers" have a chance to compete for the grand prize, this is called a "double elimination" There's a whole second set of brackets you drop into when you lose. When the upper bracket finals are played, the loser there drops down to the lower bracket finals, against the last remaining lower bracket team with one loss.

Whichever of them wins, plays for the championship against the upper bracket winner, but has to beat him/her twice to win. UB has won all its matches, LB has ost one match, so if uB loses to LB in first rd finals, both teams have a loss and a tiebreaker match is held.

The other kind of loser's bracket tourney is still a single elimination, but everyone that loses in the upper bracket gets seeded to the lower breacket, and the LB finals determine 3rd and 4th places for purpose of payouts.

All going to a good cause except for the $200 to $500 that is being paid out to the participants. If my math is correct it's only 69% of the money collected that is going to the charity.

Sorry to be so terribly disagreeable Rikki, but I believe that it was you who was putting the slant on it. I was just trying to correct your misleading post. Why do you always have to post before you think about what you are saying? sheeesh!
