I'm looking to buy a SIGMA 70-300mm DG Lens which i can get for about $120 is this a good price for one new and is there something else i should get instead of this at that amount of money or maybe a little more.

| Get the Sigma 100-300 f4 EX HSM. More than a little more but much better. |

The APO DG version of that lens is just a little more ($200 iirc) and regarded to be much better. |
