Woot!! I just had to share this! I finally got myself some decent gear! 2 x Bowens Esprit Gemini 500watt heads complete with remote triggers. Cost me a fortune but I love them!
Whole setup is now:
2 x Bowens Esprit Gemini 500 watt heads
2 x Bowens Pulsar remote triggers (one to send one to receive)
2 x Godox slave flashes
110 cm 5 in 1 reflector and stand
Kast backdrop stand
4 different coloured paper backdrop rolls
Polaris Dual 5 light meter
Now I just have to learn how to take a decent photo! ;)

Hmmm...the most expensive was obviously the BOwens gear. I got a kit with the 2 heads, stands, softbox and umbrella and added the two triggers which cost me about $2900 (Aus). The Polaris Lightmeter set me back $500 (Aus), backdrop stand $150 (Aus), about $100 for the 2 slave flashes and stands (yeah...cheap arse imported from China but they work) and about $600 (Aus) for the backdrops!

It's 2.75 meters x 11 meters so I think in feet it works out to about 9! The stand will go to a max of 3 meters in width!
EDIT: The photo is a little bit deceiving in that the room is about 4.5 meters wide x about 7 meters!

Cool, congrats. Pretty much the same setup I got and I love it. Didn´t spend money on the remote triggers, I just put the flashes on "cell" and use my external flash set at manual and 1/128 to trigger them, well except when I am outside of course, then I use the sync cable. |

Cheers! Yeah, I was unsure whether to get the triggers or not because I could of used my Safe Sync to hook direct to the lights and just put them on cell...but then I thought "what's another $700??"! Gives me a tad more freedom! I hated the cable on my last set of lights!

Ummm, not sure who is misunderstanding whom but what I mean is, using a external flash (like a 550ex or 580ex) at manual and (preferrably but not neccesarily at a low power, just set a low power to increase refresh rate and save the batteries of your flash) will just trigger the bowens lights if you set them at "cell", no cables or nothing required. |

No misunderstanding. Even if I synced one light direct to the camera by cable the other would still need to be on cell to fire.
