Just got a dell inspiron E1505 with a 15.4in ultrasharp truelife widescreen wsxga screen... my problem is that all the photos look very pixelated... not sure what settings will cure that.... any input???

run your monitor at its native resolution

Thats a great screen you chose..
The native resolution is awesome(1680 x 1050 pixels)

If you choose that, beware your text is gonna be very small, but theres no reason to have pixelated photo's, just play arounf with your resolution..

Yep, and... make sure the "color quality" is set for "highest (32-bit)."
To set this, right-click on the desktop, click properties and when the dialog box appears click the settings tab. On the right is the color quality setting.

The text IS very small!!! LOL

always use the native resolution for an LCD monitor to get the sharpest quality. As for small text, just go to system display settings and select larger font size.

As mentioned above...

Click Start, choose run... enter desk.cpl in the field and press enter
Click on Appearance tab
Choose Large or Extra Large from the Font Size drop down menu.
