I barely squeaked my 'animal' shot in under the wire today. I was going to save Animal for a day when I didn't feel like shooting anything, and go get a bird or even my cat, but we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium today and the jellyfish were just STUNNING.

Awesome jellyfish pic!!

I'm up to Day 4 with this shot , but just now realized I'm not supposed to have multiples in one category. Oops. will have to redo later. :/

Posted a still life last night...anyway, my attempt at a still life. And, posted a candid shot for today. Any helpful comments would be appreciated as always.

Day 4 is up!! Its a shot that I have taken many times before, but I added a little editing twist to this one. I think I'll get a print of it, and I think that tonight was my last visit to the Jackson Street Bridge. Lovely view of the city, but I've seen it enough now. I need to branch out more.

No Edit.

I have a building/architecture shot up. :)

Eric, I love your city shot. That's one that's going to be a toughie for me; I live 45 miles from the nearest incorporated area and it's not exactly a cityscape kind of place.

Rachel,
I like your building shot...the graffiti theme is a good one.

Eric,
Your city shot is great...the lights almost jump out at you.

Thanks for the comments guys! I am also trying to keep up with getting some out as well. My shallow DOF is posted, and I have now kept up for a full five days. This is longer than I kept many of my early jobs.

Who else?

Okay, I'm in for the day. My macro flower shot is up.

Sheesh.
I'm in San Francisco all week (work related) and I forgot my #!@#*$ cable to download my pics....
I'll have to upload my pics when I get back home. :(

Hey Indigo...Why not try to pick up a card reader? I have one made by scan disk that goes right in my camera bag. That's the only way I download my photos. And they aren't very expensive.

I'll be posting mine here running a little behind as of now, but hope to get caught up in the next day or two :)

I'm looking through the list of photos we need to take and I'm not sure what "shot from the hip" is. Thanks in advance.

Penny, "shooting from the hip" means shooting without framing the shot in the viewfinder. It's frequently something you do when you, uh, might not be strictly supposed to be taking the picture you're taking. :) But it also can just be casual or very candid or whatever.

OK, Brandi, you're added. :)

OK, I have my "golden hour" shot posted.

I've also worked out some problems with my HTML. I adapted this template from the one I used for my self-portraits, and the Previous/Next links were leading to my self-portrait project! Whoops. :)
