So I'm getting the 10-20 Sigma to complete my lenses.
I'm going to buy a UV filter from BH photo right away. I was wondering whether I should get an ultra-thin UV filter to prevent vignetting... but 172$ is too much for my liking.
Does anyone have experience with this? Which filter should I get?

I don't have a filter for my Canon 10-22, but, when considering it I was informed it would need to be an ultra-thin type. |

Oops! just realized i was looking at the circular polarizer.
Found the Ultra-thin filter for 55$, which is reasonable.

You also might consider buying a larger filter and using a step-up ring to avoid vignetting. Just a thought.

Sounds like a decent idea. I don't use a UV filter on my 10-22 but do get a little vignetting using the poloriser or ND's

Good idea. Is a lens hood still useable doing that? |

Probably not the hard plastic one that has a bayonette mount to the lens, but if the UV filter has threads then the rubber expandable one would work. |
