On my two lenses, following the basic info there is a smaller "58" - I am assuming that is the size I would need for filters? I know..probably a "duh" question, but I need to start looking for a few filters for my vacation trip. |

To answer your question, yes. Check inside the lens cap. The filter size is given there as well.
To save money, you could buy filters for your largest lens and step up rings for the smaller ones. Sometimes the range is too large but it's a place to start. |

Your Tamron 28-80 takes a 58mm filter
FWIW, I usually buy all my filters at a large size... 77mm and use step-up rings to fit them on my lenses.

I made a mistake selling all my filters with my 717, didn't I? Oh well... |
