I got comment on my "negative" submission that it does not look very much like negative. I agree to the comment and it seems like my image might have suffered because of not-being-like-nagative.
These are the stages which I captured in reaching the final version.
Step 1 - Cropped and Saturated
Step 2 - Inverted
Step 3 - Greyscale, Levels

I really like the purple version, and I think that would have scored higher, both because it looks more negative, and is more appealing (to me at least).

I know this does not help now...but the purple would have been better!

Having seen it now in the purple, I really dig that color!
However, I thought this was one of the underrated shots for this challenge...I had expected it to score much higher!! Probably cause I liked it so much! :-) |

Well, I probably cancelled out that person that said it didn't look negative enough. For the voting on this challenge I voted higher on photos that looked they went the extra distance to find subject matter that would look good inverted, as opposed to taking their favorite photo of the week and simply hitting the invert button.
The purple version is the more exciting of the two and probably would of scored higher, but I'm not sure whether I like that one better or not. |

Damn. I would have even saved effort of one last step and still scored higher :)
