I, personally, would never copy and paste a photo just to scrutinize it prior to voting. Is this a common practice or just what some voters did for this negative challenge? I'm perhaps more sensitive because my photo had some camera shake issues and I decided not to submit it to "windows" because of it. However, when I inverted it I thought it looked a whole lot better and said "What the heck", might as well.
Big mistake. Anyway, what's the deal?

I did it to assure that I wasn't incorrectly voting DNMC. If I was in doubt, I doublechecked. In a couple cases I wasn't sure just what I was looking at and thought that, since eyes are used to seeing/translating positives I might better understand the photo. In one case it definitely made a difference. This is the first challenge I've done it with.
Would you prefer I check yours if I'm unsure, or just vote it down as DNMC when it actually did but wasn't obvious?

edit to add; I did NOT vote anything down because of things I saw when changing back to normal but hadn't noticed in negative, if that's what you're asking. If it was a problem in positive it would have been in negative, I'm sure.

And many more! I really had a fun time voting on as much of this challenge as I could!

Thanks ladyhawk22 for giving due dredit to my submission. As suggested, I have uploaded "more negative looking" version of same. I wish I have uploaded this one for challenge.

Modified (actually less modified as this needed one step less of PP)

I'd prefer you to just skip it and don't vote on it at all.
Thanks for your explanation, though.

This was a hard subject to shoot for. I would shoot and then wouldn't really know what I had until I put it on the computer. Pretty hard. Hopefully I will get better.

When I tried to crop out the plants and buildings to just leave the pole and fewer wires, the resulting image was rather dull (to me at least). I would apprecate any other suggestions.

ok i am definatley no expert! But I liked your photo, power lines are busy... not your picture. I gave it a 6 i thought it would place higher

Thanks KarenNfld...as soon as the challenge was announced that was my idea, I really like it myself as well. This is the first time one of my photos has ever been mentioned in one of these kinds of threads. Thanks again.
