Does anybody have, or has anybody used the Epson V700 Scanner?
I'm planning to start the epic journey of scanning my family's 50 years and thousands upon thousands of photos...

Hi,

I have an Epson V700 scanner and could not be happier. I have scanned well over 1500 slides so far. I am going through my collection of 20,000 plus slides, not mention all my B&W negs.
The results I am getting are as good as (if not better) my Nikon 4000 ED scanner that is lying idle at the moment. The Epson is so much faster and the software control is far superior. You can scan 12 35mm mounted slides or 24 unmounted 35 mm in strips at one time.
I will sell my Nikon when I get a chance.
If you need and info let us know
Cheers

Neville

An excellent review is available on the following

I got the 4870 scanner a while ago based on one of the photo-i reviews, and it says that the v700 is better than the 4990 (which was the successor to mine) so, based on mine being pretty good, I reckon the v700 must be pretty good too.

The review does say that the 750 might be worth waiting for as a "pro" scanner though.
