Sigma 70-300mm APO DG Macro Zoo Field Test

Hi all,

As some of you may know I bought my Sigma lens last week, and took it to the zoo for a field test. Most of the pics were taken at 300mm, and I must say, I am very satisfied!

I have this lens and I love it. I've been meaning to take it to the zoo (I hope to this summer). You took some great shots here. I really like the rhino.

Word of advice... take a bean bag with! :)

I had to use my fiancÃ¨'s scarf to steady the lens at 300mm.

Then again, I have big hands and keeping the 350D still... with that lens on... tricky to say the least!

Nah, as I said it was a folded up scarf, and then I either crouched or bended over to position the lens.

I think a beanbag should be fine, but I still need to make one. I found a site that tells you exactly how to make one. Quite cool.

If you don't mind where and for how much did you get that lens?
Im very tempted to say the least.
