Anyone on here submits to Acclaim Images? If so, how is it? |

I have been extremely successful with Acclaim. They pay promptly and their upload process is quite simple.

that's noce to hear. Do you know what kinds of images do well there?
How hard is it to get in? |

The same kinds of images sell there that sell anywhere else in the stock industry. There's a market for just about anything.
I've been with them from the beginning, back when it was just a handful of about five photographers. In the past year they've added over 200 new photographers and I know they're looking to fill in the gaps in their collection of images. For more information, you can look here:

Don't mean to hijack the thread but I got this letter the other day from Crestock...
"Dear Steve
I was browsing the net and came across your lovely portfolio. I was especially impressed by your portraits and cityscape photos.
We are interested in all good images with a high degree of creativity and was amazed by your online portfolio, and will therefore invite you to join us at www.crestock.com"
Are they (Crestock) good...bad? Is this letter one that many people get? Most important...do they pay???
The site itself had very little info that I could find.
Thanx in advance.

Thank you.
Problem is I don't have a website and they want to see it :( |

Flattery is the best way to get a photographer to pay attention, Pawdrix. As in investing, listen to advice and suggestions, but do your own research - my meaning is that a major company soliciting like that over the net sounds a bit dubious to me. Perhaps its viral marketing ;-Z)

I checked out the Crestock.com website. As pawdrix said - not much info there. It's land address is in Norway. They charge buyers $10 for a photo. They have a feature where a buyer can request a shot if they can't find what they are looking for on the site. "Images of recognisable people without a model release will unfortunately have to be rejected." They have forums. They have a feature where a judge posts a best and worst image daily. They have a feature called The Crestock Baby with news and a photo gallery of (presumably) the proprietor's latest family additional. That's about all i could find out without signing up as a member.
