Holy smackin! I think a low level tropical storm just formed right over our heads here in Taipei. Very heavy rain, Strong winds (100 km/h give or take 20 km/h) and some major electrical activity... (yes, I'm running on battery :)

Not a good night for lightning shots though I think...

You know it's raining when...

Your windows are all shut, but you still do up your camera in it's backpack with all the zippers and the waterproof jacket.

Wooo! Gotta love a good storm!

I wasn't so concerned about dying, I would be more concerned about my camera getting wet :) I live in a rooftop apartment and have weathered typhoons a few times. Generally, during the night, there's a whole lot of nothing to shoot. Storms are a whole lot less impressive when you stop motion and somehow when everything is grey and blurry, there isn't much to see... Besides, it was 2:00 am and I needed sleep :). Storm is gone now, May is usually like that though...
