Ok, so I just picked this funky little toy up today. (Note to self, it's never wise to spend half your day in and out of camera stores with an empty backpack and a thousand bucks in your wallet that is SUPPOSED to be going INTO THE BANK... :)
To paraphrase a few bits and bobs from the user manual:
T mode can be used with BULB mode or Continuous high speed shutter mode. One press for on, one press for off. It appears that T mode is also for the Cable release function, possibly not with the wireless remote.
R mode is used for Remote controlling with the small wireless (FM signal I believe) transmitter, which means that you get full half-press control over the camera. There is an LED indicator light on the receiver unit (attached to the camera) that shows you when the camera has found a 'lock' with exposure/focus. There is a black velvetine bag included for the transmitter that will allow you to keep the lights covered in dark environments.
N is Normal mode. Normal mode operates the camera with the main unit. It allows normal function of the shutter release as on the camera, but works as a cabled shutter release.
It has some pretty nice functionality, pretty close to that of the RC-80N3 by Canon, but also includes that funky little wireless unit. Yummy.
It cost around 35% more than the Canon RC-80N3. |

Sorry. No idea. Google?
I'm afraid I have no idea if it works with a 5D or not. It says it's good to go with the 20D... It probably will work without any troubles though. |
