I'm not a big fan of looking for help, but I'm not sure where else to turn.

Ok, so over the past few months, my sister has somehow talked me into shooting her wedding. More for the family photo's than for the events. I feel I'm at a stage where I could give her what she wants, but my fear of failure, and the unhappiness that may cause her and more importantly my mother make me really concerned about the whole process, not to mention, I think everyone will be happier if I can be a brother there, not a photographer.

So, I thought that I'd toss an idea out here, and see what happens.

The wedding is June 17th in Lincoln, Nebraska. If anyone with some talent with portraits and their own equipment is interested to take on this wedding, please let me know. There will be some pay, but in comparison to what a wedding would bill for it will be small.

There would basically be a list of family portraits, and bride groom portraits all to be done before the ceremony. I'll be able to assist you in herding family (there's alot of us) and a fair amount of other help.

After the cermony, we'd want the standard cutting of the cake, and first dance pictures, but after that, you'd be free to do whatever you want, either keep shooting, or leave, we'll have a plethora of digital camera's there that we're famous for setting up a laptop, burning everyones images to one CD, and burning a CD for just about the entire family there.

Here's the catch that will probably get rid of those few that are still reading... they want the origional raw files for their own use. All of them, so everything from the worst shot, up to the best one. You'll be free to use them in promoting yourself, and in your portfolio, but pretty much your obligation will be done at the end of the wedding.

Now, if you're still interested, have the ability to be there that day, toss me a PM, if you don't have a portfolio on the site, link me to where I can see one. If you've never done a wedding, I'm ok with that, if you've got portraits in your portfolio, I'll know if you'll be able to cut it, cause that's about 90% of what needs to be done.
