I was wondering if anybody might have an idea how this was done. I suspect it was a single image that was copied and stitched together, with verticle and horizontal mirroring. I wanted to try this one on my own but am not sure where to start. Any ideas? |

Interesting. Could have been shot through a kaleidoscope of some sort. Looks like a lot of mirroring. If this was edited, then I would like to meet the person ;-) |

a chess board and some mirrors was my first thought, but what would have been the mirrors in my mind are not showing the right things in their "reflections". Very interesting. I'd like to know as well.

1) Set up board. Photograph.
2) Repeat step 1 four to eight times to create varied boards.
3) Scale and print/develop.
4) Arrange photos using boxes.
5) Using tape or adhesive of some sort 'stick' 1-4 random pieces in random places to create illogical shadows (i.e. white knight, middle and black king/queen/?, bottom left)
6) Photograph. |
